I called Urban Reactive to look at a blocked soil pipe with suspected root intrusion. Luke was able to give me a good idea of cost over the phone, and had a team out to me at my earliest convenience. The guys gave me lots of information about what they were looking at and talked me through how best to resolve it. It was all very transparent and informative and they went ahead and fixed the problem with a resin casing, and showed me a video on completion. Everything is working fine again within the day and I'll be sure to call them again if I have any other problems with my drainage system.

I never thought I’d need a ‘drain man’, but having bought an aging house that had stood empty for a while and was in need of refurbishment, I found I did. Luke and his team have kept my system going whilst preparing for the build. They are knowledgable, efficient and quickly responsive in an emergency. They will be my drain company of choice when I refurbish my home. If you need a go-to drain company, Urban-Reactive are the best! Highly recommended.

I cannot recommend Urban Reactive too highly. They delivered on time, to budget and to a really high standard, a new driveway at the front of my home. This required extensive works, including the removal of a large volume of concrete, new drainage and the creation of garden space. Everyone involved was truly a pleasure to deal with, unfailingly tidy, and very considerate. Having been recently widowed I was nervous about carrying out works alone - they made the process a pleasure.

I would not hesitate to use them again and recommend them to anyone else.

Sewer pipe blocked on 1st Jan and a well-known national company came out and jetted it but did not put a camera down and it blocked again days later. Insurance company sent another big company out who put a camera down, told me that the problem was tree roots but did not fix it. Urban-reactive came out, got rid of the roots and then came back a couple of weeks later to repair the pipe and raise manholes above the patio. Did a very nice job.

What is a Drain Survey in Coedpoeth

A drain survey in Coedpoeth involves inspecting your drainage system with professional equipment. We insert specialized cameras into your drains, which transmit a live feed back to us. This allows us to clearly see inside your drains and detect any problems. Based on this, we can determine the most appropriate solution and proceed with repairs if needed.

Why should My Drains be surveyed?

There are several situations where arranging a drain survey makes sense, even when there’s no obvious problem. One common reason is when purchasing a property. Standard homebuyer surveys don’t include a detailed inspection of the drainage system, as surveyors don’t have the specialist equipment required. A dedicated drain survey can reveal hidden issues such as damage, blockages, or structural defects that may otherwise go unnoticed. In some cases, this information can be used during negotiations or to ensure repairs are completed before the purchase goes ahead.

Drain surveys are also extremely useful for construction or renovation projects. Knowing the layout and condition of existing drainage helps builders plan work safely and avoid accidental damage. Having a clear understanding of where pipes run enables construction to proceed around the drainage system, reducing the risk of costly mistakes.

For homeowners already living in Coedpoeth, a drain survey can help prevent expensive problems in the future. Early signs of issues such as restricted flow, developing blockages, or potential pollution risks can be identified before they escalate into serious damage. Many drainage faults remain hidden underground until they cause a major failure, which is why proactive CCTV drain surveys are so valuable.

If any issues are identified, we can advise on next steps immediately, whether that involves preventive work or targeted drain repairs. If you’re unsure whether a drain survey is right for your property, seeking professional advice early can save time, money, and disruption later.

Our drain surveying service in Coedpoeth is a great choice for home buyers because we help spot any issues with the drainage system of the property you’re interested in. Even current homeowners can benefit from a thorough check of their drainage systems, because being proactive always beats waiting for problems to arise. Plus, our drain surveys in Coedpoeth are affordable, performed by experienced surveyors, and give you a clear picture of your property’s drainage condition.

How much does a drain survey cost in Coedpoeth?

Initially, when our technology was in its nascent stages, drain surveying in Coedpoeth was considerably more costly. However, due to advancements in our CCTV techniques, the expenses have significantly decreased over time. The cost of drain surveying in Coedpoeth may vary depending on the number of drains on your property. Should any issues be identified during the survey, the subsequent cost to unblock the drain varies, as it is contingent upon the severity of the blockage. Our drain surveys in Coedpoeth are offered at competitive prices and provide comprehensive insights into the condition of your drainage system.

How long does a drain survey take?

Drain surveying in Coedpoeth is usually quick and efficient, and we prioritise working around your schedule. In most cases, common drainage problems are identified within about 45 minutes. If an inspection takes longer, it’s because the issue is more complex and needs a closer look, not because time is being wasted. Throughout the survey, we keep you informed so you know exactly what’s happening and why.

Our surveys are conducted using modern inspection technology that enables us to view the inside of the drainage system in real time. This approach helps us locate faults accurately without guesswork, making CCTV drain surveys an effective way to diagnose drainage issues.

If the survey reveals blockages, damage, or structural concerns, we can deal with them promptly where possible. Whether the solution involves clearing the drain or performing targeted repairs, we can resolve the issue efficiently and help prevent further disruption.

What equipment do we use when Drain Surveying in Coedpoeth?

When you arrange a drain survey in Coedpoeth, we only bring the best tech to make sure we do our job properly. Below is a rundown of exactly what we use to get the best results:

Waterproof cameras: We use high-tech cameras that work under flowing water and in tight spaces. Therefore this means we get a clear view into your drains and in places that would otherwise be impossible to see.

Crawlers: Crawlers are remote-controlled cameras used to provide quick visual access to sewer systems. These cameras are good at navigating through obstructed pipes due to their great mobility.

Access rods: We push these cameras along your drainage system because they are very flexible. This makes tight turns and corners easy to navigate.

Sonar units: If a pipe has limited vision due to it being full, we use Sonar surveys to provide acoustic profiling. This gains an insight into the condition of the pipes.

What do we do? – The process

Every job is different when it comes to drain surveying in Coedpoeth. However, we do follow a structure. This structure allows us to maintain our top-quality service:

Call Us – First, please give us a call!

Arrival – Next, we’ll arrive promptly and chat with you about your drainage issue before we set up the necessary equipment. We’re here to make the process smooth and stress-free for you!

Analysis – We will then access your drains and use our equipment to assess the condition of your drains.

Report – Now, we will identify any damage or blockage (if present) and relay this information to you.

Recommend – Finally, we will use our analysis to recommend a course of action. You might want the issue resolved then and there. If so, we would be happy to apply our expertise.

WHat are we likely to find?

A CCTV drain survey in Coedpoeth is designed to quickly and accurately pinpoint problems in your drainage system. Rather than relying on guesswork, the survey provides a clear view of what is happening inside the pipes, giving you a reliable assessment of their condition and performance.

From our experience, some of the most common issues uncovered during drain surveys include:

  • Collapsed or damaged pipework

  • Tree roots breaking into drains

  • Persistent or hidden blockages

  • The cause and extent of leaks or pipe bursts

  • Corrosion and general wear over time

  • Animals entering the drainage system

  • Pipes that have shifted or were incorrectly installed

One of the biggest advantages of arranging a drain survey is early detection. Identifying issues before they worsen can help avoid sudden failures, reduce repair costs, and prevent unnecessary disruption. With the right information upfront, you can plan repairs sensibly and protect your property from avoidable damage.
