I used Luke once before around 8 years ago for surveying some drains put in by builders - I had a superb service. So when our house recently had various issues (slow washing machine drainage/filling utility sink and intermittent sewer smells in the utility room) I knew who to call. Luke is brilliant at communications which is hugely refreshing in this day and age, replying to every message. He came round with the team , did some camera work and smoke testing and immediately found the issues - effectively the design of a few drains was incorrect leading to build ups of sewage in one manhole leading to the odours plus an incorrectly routed washing machine drain. He quoted for the mods which was extremely reasonable and he subsequently came with the team to do the mods at an agreeable date. Needless to say the mods have worked - no build up or odours and washing machine drains like a dream with no sink backfill. Luke is only interested in solving customer problems and he is like a dog with a bone in this sense. Some tradespeople are just after a quick buck - it's brilliant to find a company who want to gain a great reputation by doing great work. Highly recommended.

I called Urban Reactive to look at a blocked soil pipe with suspected root intrusion. Luke was able to give me a good idea of cost over the phone, and had a team out to me at my earliest convenience. The guys gave me lots of information about what they were looking at and talked me through how best to resolve it. It was all very transparent and informative and they went ahead and fixed the problem with a resin casing, and showed me a video on completion. Everything is working fine again within the day and I'll be sure to call them again if I have any other problems with my drainage system.

I never thought I’d need a ‘drain man’, but having bought an aging house that had stood empty for a while and was in need of refurbishment, I found I did. Luke and his team have kept my system going whilst preparing for the build. They are knowledgable, efficient and quickly responsive in an emergency. They will be my drain company of choice when I refurbish my home. If you need a go-to drain company, Urban-Reactive are the best! Highly recommended.

I cannot recommend Urban Reactive too highly. They delivered on time, to budget and to a really high standard, a new driveway at the front of my home. This required extensive works, including the removal of a large volume of concrete, new drainage and the creation of garden space. Everyone involved was truly a pleasure to deal with, unfailingly tidy, and very considerate. Having been recently widowed I was nervous about carrying out works alone - they made the process a pleasure.

I would not hesitate to use them again and recommend them to anyone else.

Sewer pipe blocked on 1st Jan and a well-known national company came out and jetted it but did not put a camera down and it blocked again days later. Insurance company sent another big company out who put a camera down, told me that the problem was tree roots but did not fix it. Urban-reactive came out, got rid of the roots and then came back a couple of weeks later to repair the pipe and raise manholes above the patio. Did a very nice job.

Drain Repairs in Tarporley

Drain repair in Tarporley becomes necessary when ongoing drainage issues can’t be solved with standard unblocking alone. Problems such as collapsed or structurally damaged drains should be addressed promptly by a drainage professional to prevent further disruption and escalating repair costs.

Once a drain has collapsed or suffered significant damage, routine methods are no longer effective. If left untreated, the issue can worsen rapidly and lead to expensive, avoidable repairs. In these situations, professional drain repairs are required to restore the drainage system safely and correctly.

To reduce the risk of repeat problems, planned drainage maintenance services can also help keep drains in good condition and identify issues early.

How we do Drain Repairs in Tarporley?

We approach every issue distinctly. However, we consistently possess the solution to your problem and address it appropriately. Our drain repair services in Tarporley are competitively priced and efficient. Here are several ways in which we can assist you:

Drain patch repairs

When doing Drain Repairs in Tarporley

We use this method to repair your drain if the pipe is cracked. It is often preferred because it allows repairs from inside the pipe, minimizing disruption. Our high-quality equipment makes this possible. We offer different patch repairs tailored to the size of the crack, fitting all diameters. The patch reinforces the lining by filling cracks that could otherwise cause damage to the drain.

No-Dig and Trenchless Drain Repair

Homeowners and businesses often delay drain repairs to avoid disruption, which is risky as damage worsens over time. However, our advanced no-dig, trenchless technology allows us to repair without digging or exposing pipes. Using live camera feeds, we can see inside and repair from the inside.

Full Drain Repair

In this situation, we might need to excavate the drain, but rest assured, we will do our best to keep disruptions to a minimum. Our team is highly experienced and trained in this procedure, and we always prioritize your needs. We’ll work closely with you to decide on the best approach and make sure you’re happy with the results.

The best approach will be discussed with you to ensure your satisfaction.

On rare occasions when we need to excavate the drain, we ensure repairs are efficient and cause minimal disruption. Our priority is our customers’ convenience, so our highly trained engineers work to minimize impact.

What causes a Drain to Collapse?

When performing drain repairs in Tarporley, we have addressed multiple collapsed drains, often caused by various issues. The most common cause is frequent blockages in the pipes, which lead to water flooding the ground and exerting pressure on the drainage system, eventually causing the drain to collapse. Other factors include:

Ground Movement:

Ground movements may be unavoidable. When such movements occur near pipelines, the resulting pressure can cause them to become crushed or collapsed. Furthermore, roots from nearby trees can also impact your piping. While this issue is typically manageable, since roots must grow around the pipes, they can sometimes invade, interfere with, and potentially crush them.

Wear and tear

Yes, your drains may suffer collapse independently. If your piping is aged and under stress, it is highly probable that failure has occurred due to the deterioration of materials.

How do you know if a drain has collapsed?

You can spot a collapsed drain if any of the following problems have become apparent. As a collapsed drain can badly impact its ability to drain water and sewage from the property. It will result in noticeably poor drainage, which is a clear sign you need a Drain Repair in Tarporley. Signs of a damaged drain include:

Dampness:

A damaged drain places strain on the pipes that carry waste and wastewater. If one of these pipes starts leaking, or the collapsed part of the drain is underneath the house, then you may begin to see new patches of damp or mould appearing in the home. Also, you should check the outbuildings/garages, as pipes often run beneath them.

Slow Drainage:

Slow drainage may indicate a need for a drain repair in Tarporley. You should monitor water draining slowly from kitchen/bathroom sinks or showers. If this is occurring, you may need us to review it using our CCTV survey technology. This way, we can determine whether it is a one-off blockage or a collapse.

Strong Smell Of Sewage:

A damaged pipe or collapsed drain will emit sewage odour. You would notice the smell inside and around the home. If it is a blockage, it’s an easy fix. But if it collapses, the issue needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

Backed-up sewers/Regular blockages:

When a drain collapses, sewage can’t pass through, so it backs up. If this happens regularly, it indicates damage to the pipe or a collapsed drain. Again, our CCTV survey will confirm this, so you know for certain.

How much does it cost to repair a drain in Tarporley?

The cost of repairing a drain depends on the specific problem and severity. Fixing a collapsed drain tends to be more costly than repairing a cracked pipe. We strive to offer competitive prices for all drain repairs, ensuring the service is efficient and affordable. The simplest way to determine the cost of a drain repair in Tarporley is to contact us. We can then schedule a drain survey to identify the issue quickly and provide you with an estimated quote.

We can repair most drains in Tarporley from your manhole.

We perform most drain repairs in Tarporley with trenchless cured-in-place lining, mending full or partial sections of damaged drainage using resin-cured lining from inspection chambers, avoiding costly excavation.

How do you fix a broken drain in Tarporley?

Depending on the drainage issue, we’ll replace the affected section and address the root cause, if needed. A collapsed drain is often caused by tree root infiltration or corrosion, so we’ll carefully handle the source of the problem before replacing the piping. For other possible causes, please see above. If there’s a leaking drain pipe, we’ll replace it with a new section that will fix the issue right away. Rest assured, our thorough drain survey in Tarporley, using advanced CCTV cameras, will quickly identify these problems, allowing us to resolve them within just a day.
