I called Urban Reactive to look at a blocked soil pipe with suspected root intrusion. Luke was able to give me a good idea of cost over the phone, and had a team out to me at my earliest convenience. The guys gave me lots of information about what they were looking at and talked me through how best to resolve it. It was all very transparent and informative and they went ahead and fixed the problem with a resin casing, and showed me a video on completion. Everything is working fine again within the day and I'll be sure to call them again if I have any other problems with my drainage system.

Luke and his team have kept my system going whilst preparing for the build. They are knowledgable, efficient and quickly responsive in an emergency. They will be my drain company of choice when I refurbish my home. If you need a go-to drain company, Urban-Reactive are the best! Highly recommended.

I cannot recommend Urban Reactive too highly. They delivered on time, to budget and to a really high standard, a new driveway at the front of my home. This required extensive works, including the removal of a large volume of concrete, new drainage and the creation of garden space. Everyone involved was truly a pleasure to deal with, unfailingly tidy, and very considerate. Having been recently widowed I was nervous about carrying out works alone - they made the process a pleasure.

I would not hesitate to use them again and recommend them to anyone else.

Sewer pipe blocked on 1st Jan and a well-known national company came out and jetted it but did not put a camera down and it blocked again days later. Insurance company sent another big company out who put a camera down, told me that the problem was tree roots but did not fix it. Urban-reactive came out, got rid of the roots and then came back a couple of weeks later to repair the pipe and raise manholes above the patio. Did a very nice job.

Drain repair in Shotton–Hawarden is essential if you’re experiencing ongoing drainage problems that can’t be resolved with routine unblocking. Collapsed or structurally damaged drains should be addressed by a drainage expert as soon as possible to prevent further disruption and unnecessary expense.

When a drain has collapsed or suffered serious damage, standard unblocking methods are no longer effective. Left untreated, a collapsed drain can quickly become a major, costly problem. In these situations, professional drain repairs are required to restore your drainage system to proper working order.

In some cases, recurring issues can also be reduced through planned drainage maintenance services, helping to prevent future damage and keep your drains functioning reliably.

How we do Drain Repairs in Shotton-Hawarden?

Here are a few ways we can help:

Drain patch repairs

When performing drain repairs in Shotton-Hawarden, we typically use this method for cracked pipes. It is preferred because it allows repairs from inside the pipe, minimising disruption. Our advanced equipment makes this feasible. We offer patch repairs tailored to crack size, suitable for all pipe diameters. The patch reinforces the lining by filling cracks, preventing further damage to the drain.

No-Dig and Trenchless Drain Repair

Homeowners and business owners often hesitate to repair their drains to avoid disruptions. But delaying repairs can be risky, as the problems and costs can worsen over time. Luckily, with our advanced technology, we offer no-dig, trenchless repairs that are quick and cause no disturbance. We don’t need to dig up or expose the pipes. Instead, we use a live camera feed to see inside the pipes and make accurate repairs from the inside.

Full Drain Repair

What causes a Drain to Collapse?

When doing Drain Repairs in Shotton-Hawarden. We have tended to multiple collapsed drains and numerous things can cause them. But most commonly it is by constant blockages in the pipes. This causes the ground to flood with water and put pressure on the drainage system which therefore collapses the drain. Other reasons include:

Ground Movement:

Ground movements can be unavoidable and may cause pressure that crushes pipes. Tree roots can also invade and damage pipes if they grow around them.

wear and tear

Yes, your drainage systems may collapse autonomously. If your piping infrastructure is aging and under strain, it is highly probable that they have failed as a result of material degradation.

How do you know if a drain has collapsed?

You can often spot a collapsed drain once certain problems start to appear. When a drain collapses, it can no longer properly carry water and sewage away from the property, leading to noticeable drainage problems. This is a clear sign that a drain repair may be needed in Shotton-Hawarden.

Common signs of a damaged or collapsed drain include:

Dampness

A damaged drain can put extra strain on the pipes carrying waste and wastewater. If a pipe starts leaking, or a collapsed section sits beneath the property, you may notice damp patches or mould appearing inside the home. It is also worth checking garages and outbuildings, as drainage pipes often run beneath them.

Slow drainage

Slow drainage can be a sign that a drain repair is needed in Shotton-Hawarden. Keep an eye on water draining slowly from kitchen or bathroom sinks, baths, or showers. If this continues, it may indicate more than a one-off blockage and could point to a collapsed section within the drainage system.

Strong smell of sewage

A damaged pipe or collapsed drain will usually produce a noticeable sewage smell in or around the property. While blockages can sometimes cause similar smells and are often easier to fix, a collapsed drain should be dealt with as soon as possible to prevent further problems.

Backed-up drains and regular blockages

When a drain collapses, wastewater cannot pass through properly and begins to back up. If blockages are happening regularly, it usually suggests damage to the pipework or a collapsed drain. A proper inspection helps confirm the cause so the right repair can be carried out.

How much does it cost to repair a drain in Shotton-Hawarden?

Drain repair costs vary based on the issue and severity. Fixing a collapsed drain typically costs more than repairing a cracked pipe. We strive to offer competitive quotes for all drain repairs, ensuring effective service at a fair price. The simplest way to determine the cost of a drain repair in Shotton-Hawarden is to contact us. We can then schedule a drain survey to identify the problem quickly and provide an accurate quote.
