I used Luke once before around 8 years ago for surveying some drains put in by builders - I had a superb service. So when our house recently had various issues (slow washing machine drainage/filling utility sink and intermittent sewer smells in the utility room) I knew who to call. Luke is brilliant at communications which is hugely refreshing in this day and age, replying to every message. He came round with the team , did some camera work and smoke testing and immediately found the issues - effectively the design of a few drains was incorrect leading to build ups of sewage in one manhole leading to the odours plus an incorrectly routed washing machine drain. He quoted for the mods which was extremely reasonable and he subsequently came with the team to do the mods at an agreeable date. Needless to say the mods have worked - no build up or odours and washing machine drains like a dream with no sink backfill. Luke is only interested in solving customer problems and he is like a dog with a bone in this sense. Some tradespeople are just after a quick buck - it's brilliant to find a company who want to gain a great reputation by doing great work. Highly recommended.

I called Urban Reactive to look at a blocked soil pipe with suspected root intrusion. Luke was able to give me a good idea of cost over the phone, and had a team out to me at my earliest convenience. The guys gave me lots of information about what they were looking at and talked me through how best to resolve it. It was all very transparent and informative and they went ahead and fixed the problem with a resin casing, and showed me a video on completion. Everything is working fine again within the day and I'll be sure to call them again if I have any other problems with my drainage system.

I never thought I’d need a ‘drain man’, but having bought an aging house that had stood empty for a while and was in need of refurbishment, I found I did. Luke and his team have kept my system going whilst preparing for the build. They are knowledgable, efficient and quickly responsive in an emergency. They will be my drain company of choice when I refurbish my home. If you need a go-to drain company, Urban-Reactive are the best! Highly recommended.

I cannot recommend Urban Reactive too highly. They delivered on time, to budget and to a really high standard, a new driveway at the front of my home. This required extensive works, including the removal of a large volume of concrete, new drainage and the creation of garden space. Everyone involved was truly a pleasure to deal with, unfailingly tidy, and very considerate. Having been recently widowed I was nervous about carrying out works alone - they made the process a pleasure.

I would not hesitate to use them again and recommend them to anyone else.

Sewer pipe blocked on 1st Jan and a well-known national company came out and jetted it but did not put a camera down and it blocked again days later. Insurance company sent another big company out who put a camera down, told me that the problem was tree roots but did not fix it. Urban-reactive came out, got rid of the roots and then came back a couple of weeks later to repair the pipe and raise manholes above the patio. Did a very nice job.

What is a Drain Survey in Tarporley

A drain survey in Tarporley is a warm, friendly check-up of your drainage system. We arrive with our professional equipment, gently peeking into your drains to see what’s going on. Our specialised cameras send live feeds back to us, providing a clear view inside and helping us spot any potential issues early.

Afterwards, we’ll happily recommend the best way to fix it and, if you choose, carry out the work with care and skill. We’re here to make sure your drains are in top shape, and you feel confident about them.

Why should My Drains be surveyed?

There are many helpful reasons to consider a drain survey, even if it’s not always required. For example, when you’re buying a house, a drain survey can reveal problems that a general property survey might miss, since surveyors don’t always have the right tools or expertise to thoroughly inspect the drains. This may benefit you by reducing the property’s value, and the current owner would be responsible for any necessary repairs.

Drain surveys are also really important for construction projects because they show the layout of the drain system. This information helps builders plan the construction around existing drain structures smoothly.

Arranging a drain survey in Tarporley is often a sensible move, especially if you want to avoid unexpected repair bills. A detailed inspection allows us to spot early signs of trouble within your drainage system before they turn into something disruptive or expensive.

Problems like restricted flow, developing blockages, or even minor leaks can sit unnoticed for months. By the time they show themselves, it’s usually through a full blockage, unpleasant smells or water backing up where it shouldn’t. Catching those faults early gives you options and keeps repair costs under control.

If you’ve noticed anything unusual or simply want peace of mind, it’s worth booking a survey. Get in touch, and we’ll arrange a convenient time to take a proper look and advise you clearly on the next steps.

Our Drain Surveying in Tarporley

Our drain surveying service in Tarporley is a great choice whether you’re a homebuyer or a homeowner. For those purchasing a new property, we help spot any potential drainage issues early, giving you peace of mind. Homeowners can also benefit from a detailed review of their current drainage systems, helping them stay ahead of any problems. Taking a proactive approach, rather than waiting until issues arise, is the best way to protect your drains. Plus, our Tarporley drain surveys are affordable and conducted by experienced surveyors, providing a clear picture of your property’s drainage health.

How much does a drain survey cost in Tarporley?

In the early days, drain surveys in Tarporley were far more expensive because the equipment was limited and time-consuming to use. Modern CCTV technology has changed that. Today’s systems are quicker, clearer and far more efficient, which means the cost to the customer has come down considerably.

The price of a drain survey in Tarporley depends mainly on the size of the property and the number of separate drainage runs to be inspected. A straightforward domestic system will naturally cost less than a larger property with multiple lines or outbuildings connected.

If the survey highlights a blockage or defect, any additional work, such as unblocking, will be priced according to the severity of the issue and the method required to fix it. We keep our surveys competitively priced and provide a full, detailed report so you have a clear picture of your drainage system’s condition before making any decisions.

How long does a drain survey take?

Years ago, conducting a drain survey in Tarporley required bulky equipment and took much more time on site, which pushed the price up. With today’s advanced CCTV cameras and digital reporting, the process is much faster and far more accurate. That efficiency has helped make surveys more affordable for homeowners.

The cost largely depends on your property’s layout. A typical house with one main drainage run is straightforward. Larger homes, properties with extensions or separate outbuildings may have several lines that need inspecting, which naturally takes longer.

If we uncover a blockage or structural issue during the survey, any follow-on work, such as clearing or repairs, is priced based on the extent of the problem and the best method to resolve it. We always explain what we’ve found and provide a clear report, so you understand the condition of your drainage before deciding on the next step.

What equipment do we use when Drain Surveying in Tarporley?

When scheduling a drain survey in Tarporley, we use advanced technology to ensure the survey is conducted with precision. The following is a detailed overview of the equipment used to achieve optimal results:

Waterproof cameras: We use sophisticated cameras that operate in flowing water and confined spaces, providing a clear view of your drains and areas that would otherwise be inaccessible.

Crawlers: Remote-controlled cameras offer swift visual access to sewer systems. These devices are highly mobile and can navigate obstructed pipes.

Access rods: We insert these flexible cameras into your drainage system, facilitating easy navigation through tight turns and corners.

Sonar units: When pipes are full and visibility is obstructed, we use sonar surveys to provide acoustic profiling. This technique offers valuable insights into the condition of the pipes.

What do we do? – The process

No two properties are the same, and that applies to drain surveying in Tarporley as well. That said, we always follow a clear, proven process to ensure the service remains consistent and thorough from start to finish.

Call Us
It starts with a straightforward conversation. You tell us what’s been happening, whether it’s slow drainage, smells, repeat blockages or just a precautionary check.

Arrival on Site
We turn up when agreed and talk things through properly before unloading any equipment. That way we understand the layout of your property and any previous issues before we begin.

Inspection and Analysis
We access the relevant inspection chambers and carry out a CCTV survey using high-quality camera equipment. This allows us to see exactly what’s going on inside the pipework, whether that’s a blockage, root ingress, cracked joints or a collapsed section.

Clear Reporting
Once the survey is complete, we explain what we’ve found in plain English. If there’s damage or a restriction, we’ll show you the footage so you can see it for yourself.

Practical Recommendations
Based on what we’ve identified, we’ll suggest the most sensible next step. That might be simple jetting, a minor repair or more substantial remedial work. If you’d like the issue resolved straight away and it’s practical to do so, we can often take care of it there and then.

WHat are we likely to find?

Our drain survey in Tarporley can identify virtually any issue in your drainage system. Rest assured, your drainage system is in capable hands, and our survey is designed to deliver the highest-quality review available. Furthermore, we can enumerate the most common problems we have encountered.

  • Collapsed drains
  • Tree root ingress
  • Blockages
  • Causes and extent of leaks/bursts in pipes
  • Corrosion, wear, and tear
  • Animal intrusion
  • Evidence of displacement or poor installation

Choosing us offers many benefits. Most importantly, having a drain survey in Tarporley can save you both time and money. By catching potential issues early, you can plan ahead and avoid unnecessary damage and costs.
