I called Urban Reactive to look at a blocked soil pipe with suspected root intrusion. Luke was able to give me a good idea of cost over the phone, and had a team out to me at my earliest convenience. The guys gave me lots of information about what they were looking at and talked me through how best to resolve it. It was all very transparent and informative and they went ahead and fixed the problem with a resin casing, and showed me a video on completion. Everything is working fine again within the day and I'll be sure to call them again if I have any other problems with my drainage system.

I never thought I’d need a ‘drain man’, but having bought an aging house that had stood empty for a while and was in need of refurbishment, I found I did. Luke and his team have kept my system going whilst preparing for the build. They are knowledgable, efficient and quickly responsive in an emergency. They will be my drain company of choice when I refurbish my home. If you need a go-to drain company, Urban-Reactive are the best! Highly recommended.

I cannot recommend Urban Reactive too highly. They delivered on time, to budget and to a really high standard, a new driveway at the front of my home. This required extensive works, including the removal of a large volume of concrete, new drainage and the creation of garden space. Everyone involved was truly a pleasure to deal with, unfailingly tidy, and very considerate. Having been recently widowed I was nervous about carrying out works alone - they made the process a pleasure.

I would not hesitate to use them again and recommend them to anyone else.

Sewer pipe blocked on 1st Jan and a well-known national company came out and jetted it but did not put a camera down and it blocked again days later. Insurance company sent another big company out who put a camera down, told me that the problem was tree roots but did not fix it. Urban-reactive came out, got rid of the roots and then came back a couple of weeks later to repair the pipe and raise manholes above the patio. Did a very nice job.

What is a Drain Survey in Connah's Quay

A drain survey in Connah’s Quay involves a detailed check of your drainage system using specialist inspection equipment. A small camera is guided through the pipework, providing a live video feed that allows us to clearly see inside the drains and assess their condition.

This process helps us identify problems such as blockages, damage, or structural faults without any guesswork. Once the issue has been located, we can recommend the most effective next step, whether that’s preventative action or targeted drain repairs. In most cases, surveys are carried out as part of CCTV drain surveys to ensure the right solution is applied the first time.

Why should My Drains be surveyed?

There are several reasons for a drain survey, even if it is not essential. The first reason you may need a drain survey is that when buying a house, it will uncover issues a property survey will not. This is because property surveyors simply do not have the tools or skills to assess the drains properly. Therefore, this can potentially reduce the property’s value for your benefit, and the current owner will have to cover any repair work.

They are also key for construction projects because they identify the structure of the drain system. This plan then allows building to take place around the structure.

Getting a drain survey in Connah’s Quay could also save you a lot of money in your current house. Through this service, you could find upcoming problems with your drainage system before they become expensive and damaging. Pollution incidents, struggling flow rates, and blockages are all examples of things that could cause serious problems in the future if not picked up on. If you don’t know whether you need one, there are signs to keep an eye out for. But usually, these issues would remain hidden until they cause a major blockage. In conclusion, if we would be of use, then please do not hesitate to get in touch to arrange a drain survey.

What equipment do we use when Drain Surveying in Connah’s Quay?

When you arrange a drain survey in Connah’s Quay, we only send the best technicians to ensure the job is done properly. Below is a rundown of exactly what we use to get the best results:

Waterproof cameras: We use high-tech cameras that operate in flowing water and tight spaces. Therefore, this gives us a clear view of your drains and areas that would otherwise be impossible to see.

Crawlers: Remote-controlled cameras used to provide rapid visual access to sewer systems. These cameras are good at navigating through obstructed pipes due to their great mobility.

Access rods: We push these cameras along your drainage system because they are very flexible. This makes tight turns and corners easy to navigate.

Sonar units: If a pipe has limited vision due to it being full, we use Sonar surveys to provide acoustic profiling. This gains an insight into the condition of the pipes.

What do we do? – The process

Every drainage job is different, but when carrying out drain surveying in Connah’s Quay, we follow a clear and proven process. This ensures nothing is missed and allows us to deliver a consistent, high-quality service from start to finish.

Initial contact
The process starts when you get in touch with us. We’ll take a few details about the issue you’re experiencing and arrange a suitable time to attend.

On-site arrival
We arrive as agreed and take the time to talk through the problem with you before setting up our inspection equipment. This helps us understand what to focus on during the survey.

Drain inspection
To access the drainage system, we conduct a full internal inspection using specialist camera equipment. This is the core of our CCTV drain surveys, allowing us to see exactly what’s happening inside the pipework.

Findings explained
Once the inspection is complete, we’ll clearly explain what we’ve found. If there are any blockages, damage, or structural issues, these will be shown and discussed so you know exactly what’s going on.

Next steps
Based on the findings, we’ll recommend the most suitable course of action. If you’d like the issue resolved immediately, we can often proceed directly to drain repairs or clearance work.

WHat are we likely to find?

Essentially, our drain survey in Connah’s Quay can identify almost any issue with your drainage system. Your drainage system is in good hands, as our drain survey is designed to provide the best review available. Moreover, we can list the most common problems we have encountered.
